Through desk or direct to pc?

Hi,

I was wondering if you could tell me how to go about recording some keyboard tracks....I have a little yamaha keyboard and am running cubase vst32 and using a Behringer mixing desk. I have a feeling that I shouldn't plug the keyboard directly into the desk....right? wrong? And if I am to plug it into the pc...?

You could connect it in so many different ways, one way is to go from your Yamaha Headphone/Lineout (hope that is your output) to the Behringer mixer and from the mixer main out to the soundcard in.
Yamaha output -> Mixer input -> Mixer output -> Soundcard Input
or
Connect your lineout of Yamaha into your soundcard line in.

Can you assure me I am not going to blow up my PC or mixer?!!
Straight into the PC seems the easiest option.

Straight is easier, but with the mixer in the middle you can obviously do more things.

Just go for it, try both and see what suits you better. And don't worry, you're not jacking a bomb in your PC. :D
