Soo... honestly. I don't know if I'm looking for mix crits.
I'm not to that point yet.
This is an idea that i had, so i quickly programmed some drums.
stuck one of my Nady Sp-5 3 for $20 mics on the acoustic
(i bought them for band practice mics)
and used the same mic to track the first lyrics that came to my head
and added some quick bg vocals...

if i decide the song is a keeper, i'll take it with me when i got to record my bands next EP.

Maybe some crits on the song? ideas to throw in?

The idea for the song, was almost to have this constant build.
With even the bare minimum in this quick faux-recording
i think i might have got that...

opinions?

Cool!
Sounds great, both vocal and guitar intro.
Drums...hum, sound of them is not great, maybe try changing for other snare sound? EQ the snare vs toms vs BD better?
Cheesy hit-hat.

Overall, I like the song and the general fell of it. Work on hte drums and maybe add a little something else towards the end (subtle strings, synth pad??) to give a little more variety and texture...and work on the drums.

I would like to hear another version if possible.
Cheers,
-Rich

if drums are the only worry then i'm good :)

When i really record the song, it'll be real drums.
This is just the easiest way to write songs real quick at 4am.
Get a beat in my head, program it. :)

my band: myspace.com/wearechasingghosts
note: we use real drums and usually have a decent recording
not that myspace does any justice to it.

We're going to record like 4 songs for demo purposes.
This is one that may or may not make that cut.
I've just been writing and seeing how they come out.

Dizzzammmnn...what's up talent?!

Sounds great. I bet you get chicks:cool:

It's a little cliched and formulatic...I hear a little bit of autotune going on I think...not my thing. Seriously though, it could be a hit on mainstream radio. I can tell you put some feeling into this...that goes along way in my book. Not what I would go out of my way to listen to, a few generations later than me, but, having said that, it's a solid pop song. The end gets a little close to over doing it.

auto tune is more so me with a lot of cracking vocals.

if i had autotune or such on, the first verse wouldn't be so off :)

the end is kinda what i thought made the song?
It was a steady build to reach a full chorus...

how would you do it differently? I don't mind opinions at all.

I thought the vocals sounded on in the beginning, it was a few of those long notes towards the end that I thought I heard it. I didn't say you over did the ending, it was just getting close to overdoing it. I like the build up though. It was done with the right amount of energy. Sometimes it's a little hard to pull off without sounding campy. Good mix. Good song:D

sounds great! love the chords. and the drums... haha, you get used to it when you listen to it for a long time. and i like the end of the song..
