The ultimate choice of the midi keyboard

Heihoo.

Yep, I know here are several midi keyboard related topics but mine is again a bit different :)

Now I have this list here :

M-AUDIO - RADIUM 61
M-AUDIO - RADIUM 49

EVOLUTION - MK461 C
EVOLUTION - MK449 C

Edirol - PCR80
Edirol - PCR50

1) So the first question goes.. 49 or 61 keys ? Those who have been using/are using 49key keyboards.. do you feel like you need more ?

2) Do all these keyboards have the key-split function ? Didn't manage to get that info from their tech info.

3) I'm assuming that RADIUM doesn't have touch-sensitive keys as it's not written on the tech info sheet ?

4) Share your experience of working with these keyboards
And give your personal opinion of course :)

Thanks,
Masq.

I think 61 keys is too small if you want to do any real playing. 76 would be my minimum. It doesn't really matter if they do midi splits or not because you can set that up in the softsynth or soundmodule.

I haven't used any of those so I can't be too specific.

I discovered I can't get the Edirol from any of my local shops so now it's basically RADIUM vs EVOLUTION... and then 49 vs 61 keys.

I couldn't quite catch what's the big difference between R and E (besides the price difference) ? Only the lack of touch-sensitive keys on RADIUM ? And EVOLUTION seems to have more possibilities of programming the buttons and knobs and sliders .. also R doesn't have these ordinary buttons(not that they would be of any big use).

So I would still like to get some feedback from people who have used/are using one of these keyboards.. or both.

EVOLUTION 61 - $330
(just to get the price difference)
