Here's a recording I made with an Ibanez Artcore AS73 semi-hollowbody that I was reviewing and a 65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue.

Just straight in with nothing in between. I think I added a little delay in the mix.

For the clean part, the volume was on about 3 or 4, and for the dirty part, it was dimed out.

The acoustic part was my Seagull into an Octava MC-012 into an M-Audio DMP3.

here is an instrumental track with me playing keys and drums (on my feet) at the same time and then overdubbed a guitar. I am on day 2 of a 14 demo with the neve 1081 eq from UA. This is my first time using a neve product. There are so many possibilities with this eq, it is taking awhile to get it figured.

Gear: MIK Tokai copy of a 335(bone stock) into a wah wah pedal, and through a princeton reverb reissue amp. The keys are direct (casio priva), snare drum beater has a brush on it, and ride cymbal has a stick, regular beater on bass drum

Nice thread, and lots of nice tones.

I haven't mic'd my amps in a while because I'm always in too much of a hurry and I don't feel like screwing with it.

Here's something I did in a typical hurried fashion just the other day with my PODxt.

(And I prefer tube amps just as much as the next guy, but I got over my hang up, and now I just do what's easy.)

Ok so this was done with a mesa boogie dual rectifer. I just threw a shure pg48 mic in front of it. rhythm guitars double tracked with just a tad bit of eq to take off some bottom end. just jamming so tons of mistakes.

Those are pretty good guit tones you're getting there. The rhythm is nice and thick, but still tight and the lead cuts through just right. I like it...

Thanks man! I forgot to add that i put a maxon 808 overdrive pedal infront of it with the output maxed, no drive, and tone at 12 o'clock. I just use it as a boost and it works great. That is one problem with the recto is that it does not sound very tight when palm muting unless you use the pedal or active pickups can sometimes work to. I found that boosting 800-900hz about 2-3db really works good for making the lead cut nicely. I didnt add very many details because I was tired when I wrote that. The guitar was a gibson sg faded edition. The pg48 was plugged into a presonus firepod into acid pro 6. I took the cap of the mic because of to much bass response. The BIGGEST thing was that I recorded in a small treated booth I made out of roxul AFB mineral wool. That made a HUGE difference compared to other recordings I had done with it.

Sloan I dig the lead tone on the first one. Awesome!
