Huge longtime fan here. The new LP is fugging great. I was reading somewhere that they actually went to a modest basement studio and mixed the entire record on old radio speakers to try to get a different sound. It worked. I think it's amazing and I love the fact that a band that's been around as long as they have, are still going for something different. I think you can be way more creative with a mix than what generally winds up happening. Us recording nerds overlook that stuff sometimes. In the long run, "Different" is so much better than "picture perfect"
