Hello. My question is can I use a condenser vocal mike on stage. Theyll be other microphones around and guitar amps as well. Is there a condenser vocal microphone which would preform well in this setting. I noticed Shure makes a vocal condenser microphone whichs looks similiar to a sm 58, though IM not sure (excuse the pun) if its a, in studio vocal mike/recording mike. The Microphone I saw is called a Shure KSM9. Its on the Shure websites. Anybody know or have any practical opinions on this question? Thanks. Paul wa state.

It's a stage microphone for sure, shootingstarno - but there are others within the same price range that get more kudos.

Take a look at the Neumann 105 for instance.

Of course you can use live condenses. Obviously that is what they're for. But how about the 'why (asked in the other thread..?) 'backing off the mic.. what's this all about anyway?
