No reply needed, but I thought a progress report was in order. I am a little over halfway through transcribing my lengthy conversation with Harvey and Alex Gerst at Indian Trail Studios the Sunday before last. Harvey was very generous with his time on his day off. Glad I took plenty of tape. Alex was able to join the conversation for a while, though later he had to get to work mixing the new CD for Pimpadelic.
Tape Op has confirmed their interest in the article. Larry Crane said he's had lots of requests for a Harvey Gerst piece over the years, but just hasn't made the trip from Portland.
My only complaint is that given their length requirements, I'm going to have to chop at least a third of the interview to make it fit.
Back to work now. I won't be around much till I've finished. I'm hoping to get it turned in before the RNMP hits the streets!
