The Essentials...

I wanted to post a poll, but that kinda defeats the purpose of the thread haha. What do you guys think are the ESSENTIALS for a "good" (objective kinda thinking here, but let's go with something you'd wanna put on a demo) quality HOME studio setup (ie. interface, preamp(s), software, room, outboard gear, monitors...?

Did anybody mention 420 yet???

Not that crappy Mexican gwak either.

High-quality Sno-County nuggets.

A space where you can really hear what you're putting together or a lot of time in cans.

I agree, and I think that's a big problem, maybe the biggest, people have with "home studios". I think as long as you have a mic and something to plug it into you can record, but for "demo" work, you'd atleast need a couple of pairs of headphones 4-5 decent mics and something to pull it all together.
