I like the wide stereo sound.

Does any one know or would anyone like to guess where the mic placement might be on that tune ?

NO. . .there is definately reverb on that recording. When you hear the fret noise there is resonance on it which leads me to believe there was a bit-o-verb for sure.

Pretty nice but to sounds like must have mic'ed up the guitar with a bunch of mics. I hear the melody stronger on the left side and then hear a strumming on the right. Also I think most of the solo-ish sound is coming from the pick-ups and the strumming sounds are coming from the mics.

It is a fat sound for sure, but odd to me.

I've had really good success with a pair of Shure KSM141 small condensers into an FMR RNP. I'll usually put the mic on the bridge area in omni and the one on the neck in cardioid.
