the Basics

This is good stuff. Especially being that its from a number of different sources. I noticed a few things that contradict each other ever so slightly, and I like that. It shows that there isn't the 'magic preset' or set method of doing things. People develop their own way of doing things, and, as is the case with many things musical and artistic, if it works for them, its all good. :D Some great hints :)

Why cut ans paste the whole freakin' thing, when you can just paste a link and save some bandwidth? Or better yet, just have these lazy asses go and google it themselves. Why contribute / aid in their laziness any more than you have to?

Well, how do you follow that? :) Great stuff. One tip (that's probably in that massive pile of info, but hey...) that is a good way to de-muddy a mix that is bottom heavy is to emphasize different points on the EQ for kick and bass guitar; one at 80Hz and one at 100Hz, for example; it lets both sit in the same space without intruding too much on one another...
