Thanks Sonusman. I'm really sorry about the spamming my DAT to PC question bit. But I wasn't sure where I should post my question to get the fastest reply. First I tried recording techniques, then I thought: No, this question should be in the computers and soundcards section ! I'm really sorry. And I want to burn my own CD from the DAT that's why I need to connect the DAT to my PC Can you please tell me how I can find out the I/O of the DAt ? See, the DAT player's not mine. I'm getting hold of it from somewhere. I've got Cakewalk and Soundforge will these help in remastering ?

I suppose Soundforge will work okay.

You just need to find out from the party that you are obtaining the DAT player from what kind of digital I/O it has.
