OK, I think that my near term gear lust has just finally been quenched, at least for right now. I saw a discussion here re: the MXL V67G at 8th st, with shockmount and cable, for $129, and just ordered it. Eagerly looking forward to getting it in, and putting it through the paces.

BTW, a great ebay score last week. Picked up a CAD E-100 for $25. Works great, needs one of the plastic covers ($11 from CAD). Gotta love ebay!

Anywho, thanks for looking out for the good deals out there. I appreciate it.

it may be 89 bones, but there's no shockmount, and no Mogami cable. And more importantly, it's not GREEN!!! :-)

As for the E-100, I should probably clarify that the seller had no way of telling if the thing worked or not, and was selling it as-is. I figured that I'd take a chance, and it paid off. It's no Neumann, but it seems to be a fantastic mic for $25.

I'm not sure of any other use for those two terms together though.
