Thanks Kenny, I just ordered a matched pair with the capsules. I can't wait to get them. I'm putting together a mic locker with my tax return. Till now all I had was 4 SM-57'2, a AKG C-1000, an AKG 3000B (yes I was one of the suckers that fell for the combo kit) and a SHURE bass drum mic(forgot number, beta 52 I think) Anyway Blue, I was wondering how you liked that Marshall condenser and the Studio Project mic. Do they still make the MXL2001? I've seen the 2004. Is that just a newer model of the same? Forgive me for asking alot of questions, I'm just trying to get the biggest bang for my buck. I'm getting 2 MD-421's for toms and mic'ing guitar cabs. I just bought 2 Octava's for overheads. I'd like to get a quality vocal mic for recording male rock vocals. Any advice welcome!! I see alot of people like Shure's KSM32 and Baby Bottle. I'll have close to $600 to spend, but I'd REALLY love to get an RNP. If I did that I'd only have about 150 left for a vocal mic. That's not alot for a QUALITY vocal mic. I have the 3000B, but I don't consider that a quality vocal mic. Should I wait on the RNP and just get a decent mic now?
