I got one for Christmas and am just starting to use it. I also have quite a few questions.
Mine- The manual says one can do "mixdown" of two tracks which I take to mean that it will record two tracks down to one.
My question - how does one set it up so the two tracks are indexed to match so they play together correctly? (i.e. how do you set starting points on the two tracks?) I do not have a DAW (yet) so it seems that Tascam included a way to do this in the unit - somewhere, somehow.
Answering my own question- after closely reading the manual it appears that this feature is only for mixing down a 4 channel recording to two. So the files would start and end at the same times.
