Picked up a 488 and the transport would play slowly at first then die. I replaced the capstan belt which helped, now it will play normally for a minute or so then start slowing down. The capstan roller is engaging the tape, the right spindle is moving normally I think, it runs ok without a cassette. But put the tape in and it gets s-l-o-w quick. Has anyone had this problem, and could you help me out?
