I've got a Tascam 1800 with Sound Forge Pro 10 and am haveing a few problems. Some seem related to Sound Forge and some are clearly related to the Tascam unit. For example the mixer in the Tascam control window is greyed out the effects and reverb screens are active but the mixer is not. I don't know if this is why within Sound Forge I'm only able to activate every other channel. The others again are greyed out and don't respond. In a setting screen in Sound Forge I see where it is recognizing the 16 channels coming in from the 1800 but within the track record settings it only shows 8, and those seem to be equated with surround sound recording by the way they are labeled. I've read thru the manuels for both and am stuck. Anyone know what it is or what combination of things that I'm doing wrong?
