tannoy eclipse speakers

i might be getting my hands on thesse.... doesn anyone know anything about them? are they good? don't bother?

I heard them two weeks ago next to Yamaha MSP-10, Genelec 1031, dynaudio dunno the model and Event 20/20bas.

I listened to them for exactly 3 seconds, then I had to turn them of because of a coming head-ache.. These things look nice, but cost a shackload of money and sound incredibly bad to my taste. Very mid, no low, harsh... ("The Nanny" is a word that describes them )

My pref in this line were the Genelec btw, but they're really expensive in the states, over here the Mackies cost more than the Genelecs.
