Taking Cubase 4 Tutorial and need help with prerequisites

The tutor for my Cubase 4 class says I need to have a red light moving when I play
the keyboard. Although sound is coming out of the speaker there is no indication
that the keyboard is talking to the computer.

I have a Yamaha keyboard and either two midi cables that plug into my audiobox
or I could use my Yamaha U16 but it can only be plugged into the computer.

I have done the following successfully
Installed the driver for the Yamaha driver

I don't see instructions about how to hook up the Yamaha MM6 to either the
Presonus audiobox or the pc.

I can not continue my tutorial until the keyboard is talking to the computer or
audiobox.

I used to use Cubase 5 and I remember there is place you have to go to select inputs, so that might be your problem is because you haven't told cubase to look for the keyboard
