Synching tracks (I think)

Hey guys, I am fairly new to the idea of working in the box so my question relates to the limitations of the magical machine!

I have a really good drum track and a pretty good bass track.... I didn;t use a click, so the song will be speeding up and slowing down all the time (unnoticable). The bass is not too bad just not quite sitting with the drums as well as I'd like. I can't retrack the bass, but is there an easy way to get the bass to synch up to our live drums?

since i dont think you can quantize audio (maybe you can, but i havent tried yet)...
you might have to manually move the bass parts to sync up as you like it..

Exactly.

And why can't you retrack the bass???

You can use the Tempo track to manually create a click track if need be. Simply stack the 2 windows on top of each other (Tempo window, and audio track you'll be referencing) and adjust the tempo every measure or so, to keep the grid lined up with the audio. I've used this method successfully to create clicks for laying down drums to solo acoustic guitar tracks which were recorded without a click.
