SX grid lines

yo dudes, i have been using cubase sx using audio samples and midi instruments at college and on it there are these grid line things that make life really easy when it comes to time stretch and things, I was was wondering if it is possible to get these grid lines on cubase vst32????
 
Yo Jimmy, there is........ but I can't remember exactly how to do it.

I think you have to go to preferences and enable grid.... I think. I'll have to have a look on my computer - I'm in school at the minute.

Someone else will probably give you a more accurate description of how to do it before I can though.
