Hi all.
I am looking to upgrade my mixer board and also would like to achieve 8 track recording at one time.
I am presently using Cubase VST 32 and run my board into Two channels on my sound card. (left and right)
My thought was instead of a new analog board and computer interface i could get a digital unit that would do both for close to the same price. i was thinking of the yamaha 01V with scsi patch.
my final goal is to have a dedicated computer just for the audio process.(stripped of internet, printer, scanner etc.)
what should i look for spec. wise to achive 8 track record at one time?
any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
