Master of the Obvious
Right now I'm looking at a Toshiba's Satellite A100 / A105. It's fairly powerfull for $250 . It's recieved good reviews http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3128.

* Nvidia Go 7600 256MB Graphics card
* 15.4" widescreen TruBrite glossy display
* 120GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
* DVD Super Multi Burner optical drive
I'm going to buy a used laptop for around $200-$250. I'm a Desktop guy never had a Laptop. I'd like to get one for basic surfing so I can be more portable rather than sit at a desk every time I'm on the net. I'll probably get a small 2-ch. usb interface to record simple ideas. I've always had self built office PC and Studio PC.
Looking for suggestions from those who know the Laptop world and what brands or specific model, components I might look for that were known for decent performance.
Any help would be great.
