1. Why arent there any TB1s for sale anywhere?

2. Why are the mics on the SP website completely different looking than the ones you see for sale? (red and black logo)

Hi Jillchaw,

The website shows the new mics.

The TB1 I bought is the older design, but still great. I don't know how many changes have been made, but, I'm sure if you call PMI they will tell you.

All the B & C series went through a change in looks and design. The new mics have just the SP logo without all the other info. Also, the C now has a neat new bar type shock mount that can be used in different ways.

Go check out their forum. Join, and ask away. They may take a while to respond, but they been very efficient to me.

Here's the link for the info on the new C & B series with a few pictures:

If the stores are no longer showing the TB1, it means they've sold their stock and are waiting for a shipment of the new mics.

If you want to buy now, check out their B stock TB1's. I got mine there and love it! It comes with the clip, but you can get a shock mount later if you want. Mine looked like it had never been used.

Here's the website http://www.pmiaudio.com/

Then go to MARKETPLACE
Then go to B stock

It looks like they still have a few left.

If you're looking for a great preamp with compression and eq, the JoeMeek threeQ is only $150 for B stock.

Happy shopping! :D
