I have in fact done this, and the answer is- as most would expect- not. The C-4's are very accurate and a little bright. Interestingly, Dot think's they're very colored, and mine are not. They don't pop as bad as Oktava MC012's, but they also lack the 012's sometimes flattering color. Maybe if you are Freddy Mercury, these puppies will sound good, but on normal people, they will reveal every wart.-Richie
