Was wondering if this microphone sounds EXACTLY or CLOSE to the SP C-1?

also::::

what are some examples of usages for the three-patterns that the C-3 has? and which pattern is the one that "sounds" like the original c-1?

are there roll off or pad switches on the c-3?

any general comments about them? As this is the mic i'm primarily looking at :) or the c-1

thanks!!!! :P

Badtz, you can get a free listening CD from www.studioprojectsusa.com
by e-mailing Alan Hyatt there.
Based on listening to the CD, and owning/using a C1, they both have a
similar overall "family sound". They are different in the following;

1) C1 has a slightly "bigger" sound than the C3, however, the C3 has
even better sonic detail than the C1.
2) As you may know, the C3 is multi-pattern directional.

The -10db/bass roll-off switch on the C3 and the current model C1
can be used for either function-just not both at once.
They're both excellent sounding microphones IMO.

Chris

P.S. I have a mint condition C1 for sale at e-bay if you want to check it out.
(Original version without the -10db/roll-off switch)
