I know that most own a powered studio monitor. But I happened to end up with one that is not, but I got it for a good price though. Now, I have to look for a good amp that is natural. The question is what would be a good one to buy? I couldn't find one on ebay. I am looking to spend no more than $250. Also, would the home stereo amp, like Sony's, set to have eq off, be good enough? Thanks....

HAFLER. It's literally the ONLY amp I'd recommend in that price range.

They make an "entry level" TransNOVA class power amp that you can get for around $200.
