Studer A807 parts question

Hi everyone,

A few years ago I got my hands on a Studer A807 that needed a bit of restoration. It needs a new control panel and I'm wondering what kind of price i should expect to pay. The only one I could find so far is on ebay for $550 new.

I suppose if you had infinite time to search the world over for a better price on the part you need, you might well find it but, Studer decks and parts do tend to command higher prices because of their standing and reputation in what's left of the analog marketplace.

I'm reminded of an old friend who had a Porsche 928 that cost him 60 grand new and him complaining about the price of parts on it.

Your Studer is kind of in that class of product.
