Stereo/Mono Jack Help

I have a Marshall 1960 cab and the 16 ohm mono input doesn't work, but when the cab is switched to stereo it does. Wat do? The jack plate has already been completely replaced once, I've checked the wiring inside the cab, it's not my amp or my cable and I went over the new plate and reheated and added solder to all the solder joints on the PCB of the jack plate...

And while I'm at it, when I turn my RAT pedal on it still doesn't give me full volume sometimes until I turn it off and really stomp the power button on it after going over the PCB of the pedal and reheating and adding solder to the joints.

Well when you say "switched to stereo"...does that mean it has a *switch*?

Maybe that's what is bad.

Have you read the book on these? Two jacks w/a switch between 'em, correct? Left and right refer to the front of the cab and depending on the switch position they do different things. One is 8 ohm one half of the cab in stereo and 16 ohm the whole cab in mono. The other jack is 8 ohm the other half of the cab in stereo and 4 ohm the whole cab in mono. Make sure you have the correct one and the amp set at 16 ohm. Set the amp at 4 ohm and try the other one. If it still doesn't work it probably is the switch. I imagine you'd have to buy the whole assembly.
