Stagebox or not?

I'm about to move into a new place where for the first time ever, I will have a separate live room!

I want to be able to have either 16 connections in the live room to feed back to my desk.

I have looked at stage boxes, multi-cores & also using 16 single cables all tied but i'm not sure which is the cheapest option.

Stage boxes seem massively expensive (in the UK anyway).

Building my own seems even MORE expensive.

Does anyone know a place for cheap connectors and multi-core cable in the UK?

Or any other solutions?

I will keep you all updated with the new studio build in my new place :)

Kindof a cool idea...I was looking into a metal building and a big room as a tracking room...with a stage...Id intragrate isolation cabinets into the construction of the stage and let the drums be miked in the live room...I once saw a documentary on the making of one of the "Kansas" Alblums with the drums in a 4000 sq ft loft...and they sounded great...Bonams drums recorded at Bron-y-ar (spell?) were done in a long corridor.
