SPDIF Question...

Im a little new to the whole spdif thing.. I want to hook my turntable up to my digi 003 Via SPDIF is this possible? and how do i get it to play through my monitors?

SPDIF is a digital connection....don't confuse it with a phono input (most likely what your turntable needs) just because it has RCA plugs.

if your turntable does not have a phono preamp on it...you will need to buy one. Something like this: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DeeJayPre/
(although according to the site it has 1/4" outputs on it...but I must be blind because I don't see them in the pictures)

oh no, if you have mixer that has phono inputs in between your turntable and the 003...then that's fine. You'll just need RCA to 1/4" cables to connect it to the 003 then.

so just to clarify..you're using the line inputs (on 1/4" jacks), not the S/PDIF input..

now i will be connecting into the 1/4 in. aux input .. I was trying to connect through spdif though

SPDIF is digital, your record player is analog. Unless your turntable is super hightech and has a SPDIF out, you'll have to go in a different way.

My mbox 2 pro has a phono input built-in, but I'm not sure if the 003 has this or not.
