Source for 7" metal reel?

My one and only plastic 7" take up reel is warped, so I often use a 10.5" metal reel for takeup. This is a pain, though, flipping a pre-recorded tape over.

Is there a source for new 7" metal reels? They are way too expensive for me on eBay.

Thanks,

I always preferred the plastic reels at that size. I probably have an extra one if you just want to pay the shipping.

I've never seen any metal ones outside of ebay. I suspect that they haven't been made for decades.

US Recording Media and some others that are no longer around used to have 7" metal reels, but that was back before the 2005 tape scare. I don't see them anymore outside of eBay, and they seem to fetch collector's item prices for some reason. I have a couple Maxell MR-7 metal reels that I use with Maxell tape, but I use plastic reels with everything else. I like the smoke color Ampex plastic reels. Now and then someone will sell those empty on eBay.
