Well, I am looking at both a set of nearfield monitors and a soundcard. I haven't yet narrowed the field for monitors yet, but I believe I am set on the Delta 1010. For the longest time I have been looking at that card and the price has always been about $600 (US). I have recently seen the card for under $500. My question is this: Am I looking at an amazing sale price on this card or are the stores trying to clear stock to make room for something new and improved "supposedly" from MAudio? Has anyone heard anything?
If you all have any suggestions on some nearfields to test let me know. Price range is anything less than $1200 I will consider, I am expecting to probably spend between $500 and $850 on a powered pair.
