A friend of mine is getting into recording and asked me to help him buy a new sound card (thinks I know what I'm talking about) He primarily records flamenco and classical guitar using a maudio mobile pre usb into a laptop. He's looking into getting something with more than two inputs and I couldn't find anything that is firewire or usb without getting into at least 8 inputs. (mind you the firepod is $399 now) Should I just encourage him to pick up one of these or is there a good 4 input external card for less than $400?
