Songs experiment in fund raising

Hello everyone,

When Katrina was hitting below the belt... I started writing
about it ...... then got the crazy idea of trying to raise funds
for the Red Cross... with this no-body's music.
BandSpace.com agreed with the concept and now there are
three songs posted at
http://www.bandspace.com/KrillBanksConspiracy where you can listen
for free AND if you like ... or just want to contribute.... can Download ...sending 100 percent of all fees to the Red Cross.

Beaten Down by Mississippi Blues.... written and recorded since Katrina
Lightbulb..... a tale of corporate stupidity
SHADUP and Pour Me a Beer .... to lighten the load

LBanks is my partner in crime as always and does all mix work and is
the vox on Shadup . I invite you also to our Krill Banks Conspiracy
soundclick site where we collect these and other collaborative efforts.
Thanks so much
John

I would like to contribute a song if you're open to that. If not, no problem, not trying to steal your thunder. Great thing you're doing.

Thanks

Thanks for your comment...

Took me about a week to get a response from Bandspace as to whether
or not they would kick in their share of our downloads, I just set up the Free
( three song limit ) page specifically to host the Beaten down tune and
to attempt to raise a little money. Its not an overly active site so now the challenge is to alert potential downloaders to the location. Any referrals to
the site will be most appreciated.

I was hoping Bandspace would take the bull by the horns and actually pull
other artists together who also wished to donate download fees...and/or
had written a Katrina inspired tune
( there's got to be a slew of them by now )

Set up an account at Bandspace and put your tune on it... then contact
bandspace administrators and tell them that you also want to donate.

Not a bad Idea.....for anyone else out there.... course it would be nice to
actually have someone download a song... nothin + nothin = nothin

THanks again
John
Maybe we can start something.
