Sonar marker annoyance

hi,

I am in the midst of recording my band with Sonar. I can record perfectly, start/stop/punch-in...etc. However; the marker does not move while I am recording the song. This is more of an annoyance than anything. Sometimes while I'm tracking I like to see where I am with the waveform ya know?? Has anybody else had this problem at all or know how to fix it?

any help is greatly appreciated!

ya i have had that similar problem. I think sonar does that because any of us hae shitty computers and it really drains the CPU to draw those waveforms in real time. I think if you go into the global options window there is an option that tells sonar to follow the waveform as you record. One other option may be to zoom out when you are recording.
