Sonar Dropout

I'm having serious dropouts with just one audio track, one midi track and no effects. This file used to play fine. I've tried all the recommended fixes and compacted the audio but still have the same problem. I get dropouts on playback and when I record it stops and tells me the audio disc is full. the audio track is made up of about 4 or 5 12 measure clip segments. Cubasis works perfectly with lots of audio tracks plus effects. The Sonar worked well up until today.

Try increasing your latency. This is the number one cause of dropouts in Sonar. Options->Audio and move the slider.

If you have a "wav" track that is split into many pieces ..this causes problems with sonar at the boundary positions.

a) "Bounce" to clips and fragmented track
b) Save your project as Bundle - CPB ? and reopen it.

c) Too many tracks give it problems - over 20 definitely.
