Sonar 8 Producer Edition PROBLEM

i have an Alesis io|2 interface which allows up to 24bit/48kHz recording

but when i connect it to Sonar

it tells me at the bottom of the sonar window that i'm recording at 41kHz/16bit

i've gone through the Audio and Global settings and changed it to 24bit but when i do it doesn't record anymore

Any solutions?

What do you mean when you say 'it doesn't record anymore'? Does Sonar startup with out any errors regarding the interface? Are you able to arm tracks but nothing is printed to disk?
When you change the audio settings to 24, does that reflect at the bottom of the Sonar window after that?

Also, where exactly are you making the setting changes in the Audio and Global menus? Are you using WDM or ASIO drivers?

Betcha didn't expect so many questions to your question, eh? ;)

The more we know tho, the better chance we have to fix you up :)
