Sonar 3.1.1 and M-Audio Audiophile 2496

What Sonar settings and M-Audio settings do you use please when working at 96KHz/24bits ?

Things work fine for me at 44.1KHz/24bits but when I try 96KHz things go downhill fast. I'm running on a P4 2.6GHz w/1Gb memory

I'm using Sonar3.1.1 and Audiophile v36 drivers (thinking I should go back to v27 as others have done).

At 96khz you're using more than twice the resources.

Please quantify downhill fast,how many tracks plugs etc.,you may be doing okay.
Nudge your latency up a tad,or increase the buffers in the M-audio Delta panel.

Hi acidrock - it's the cpu utilization up around 90-95%

I just usually do 2 track rebalancing and mastering stuff so I'll have about 5 plugins or thereabouts. At 44.1K I usually spend 40-50% cpu so guess what - at 96KHz I guess I'm just bumping my head on the ceiling if it takes 2x the resources for that sample rate.

I was hopin it wasn't so though hehe

I tried asio for a while but now I'm back to WDMKS where I can bump the latency way out - since I'm mastering I don't much care if takes a bit of time since it's all relative.
