Something different from me

A couple weeks ago, one person couldn't come to a session we had planned, so the other three of us turned on the recorder and jammed. Music we hadn't played in years.

Quite a break away from what I had been working on.
Anyway,,,

Would very much be interested in comments, mostly on the mixing. I'm trying to improve in that area.

The songs are a little rough, made in one afternoon, etc..

Thanks in advance for any comments you may have.

The drums are lost in the mix on both tunes.Reverb overkill on both songs also.:-)

Good singing. The vocals just need to be dried off a little of the soaking wet reverb.

Try mixing both songs again without Reverb and figure out how to place things by adding/reducing frequncies. Then add a little verb to the vocals.( just a little reverb:-)

Yee Ha!
Honkytonk me till I drop!
I feel like I'm back in good ol Texas!

Brown Eyed Girl,
I really liked it.
The reverb makes it sound like your in a smokey bar room.
The singing and the instruments are top notch.
Especially the steel,(love that steel)!

The only improvements I can see are lower the shaker and the cymbal crash a good bit,and the bongos just a tad.

I'm listening on crappy computer monitors,so take it for what it's worth.

Later Budd!
