Some thoughts please?

Just wanted some thoughts on something I was s=working on...
Any comments welcome, be they on the mix or the "song" itself.
I have two mixes of it

A note... this is an unfinished piece... so keep that in mind.
 
Not bad! I can see it going somewhere. I like the NEW one better, although i think the drums are a bit low on both. Thinking of adding guitar or vocals?
 
Yeah... I'll probably add in bass at the time the drums come in...
Then guitar at the very end... Vocals I haven't worked out yet
but this is going to be a very long piece if I can keep myself motivated.

First version - cool intro, maybe a tad long but that's an artistic decision.

Second version - The cymbals are a nice touch but a bit bright. The drums overall need some verb, something with a little more space to make it sound like they fit in the same big space the strings sit.

Great song.
