As I get nearer to the "pipe and slippers" time of my life, my nylon string technique (if I can call it a technique) seems to be taking precedence over all the others. However I still want to make a racket with effects and things; I want to sit in front of my PC without worrying about monitor pick-up; I want to do all these things late at night while the family are sleeping; and I want to play nylon string with my jazz trio without worrying about feedback.
I seriously fancy one of those Chet Atkins CEs, but they're piggin' expensive, and in the UK there are very few shops where you can try one out. In fact, I haven't found any yet. I was reading about the new Yamaha "silent guitar" in Guitarist magazine, but the demo on the cover CD sounds a bit uninspiring.
Is there anybody here who has experience of this type of guitar?
