Whats up Party People?
I almost done building my computer for my studio, but what is the best software for the job????
I am a dance music DJ and will be using loop based music until I can afford all the other hardware.
I have been working with Sonic Foundary's ACID program for over 2 years.
This is the only software I know at the moment.
Any suggestions or help in any way is appreciated.
Thanks people.

I think you already have the best application for working with loops; Acid is great for that. Since you mentioned getting other equipment, are you asking for recommendations for software that you can use once you move into other things besides just using loops? Like multitracking, etc.

FruityLoops.

99$, and a steal at that price. Does electronic genres incredibly well, and you aren't limited to just using pre-fab loops: it also includes several "generators" (softsynths) that sound fantastic, supports VST plugins and instruments, DirectX plugins and instruments, and it exports acidized wav files. Comes with a lot of example tunes to get you started.
