Smallstone Phaser

I am looking to add effects boxes to my guitar rig. Currently I only use a Big Muff Pi, a Dunlop Wah, and a Boss DD-20 live. Someone local is selling an EHX smallstone phaser (Russian) for $45. I know it's not a super steal, but does anyone have any opinions on this box? Please only respond if you have actually used and heard it. Thanks.

its a very cool pedal. having used it I have heard it since on many recordings. can't go wrong with $45

Cheap
Sounds Great
Sturdy/solid

Cons:
Small volume drop
Lack of tweakablility/features
big (compared to other phasers with more features)

i love this thing. i use it All the Time.

VSpaceboy is right about the volume drop, and it is a bit annoying at first. but it's such a cool sound, it's definetly worth it.

i was using one of those danelectro boxes, and it had the effect ( ) of making me a) know i like Phaser and b) know i needed a better one.

i suppose the only problem is, you only have two real sounds in it (by changing the colour switch) and then the speed control. it's a one trick pony. but it's a good trick, in my opinion , i suppose the boss doo-dah might be better for lots of different sounds? i don't know, i haven't tried it.
