So, Like a newb I went and upgraded my laptop and was looking at all the specs except for one, interfaces. I ended up buying a laptop and realized that it did not have any firewire port. FML. Now I am unable to connect my Profire 2626. I still can connect it to a desktop, but I need an option on the go and was wondering if anyone can recommend a USB interface (two channel is all I need) that would have comparable pre's that will sound as close to the profire as possible if I use both interfaces to record a project. Preferably, I will just try to find something used, but will go new if necessary. Any suggestions would be great. It's been a couple years since I last looked into interfaces so I need the helps. Thanks!
