Basicly what I need it to do is this:

See attached picture.

This is pretty much the one thing we need before we can record our cd.

I've been looking at: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/s=computer/search/detail/base_pid/701385/

I know the Omega can do what I'm looking for for the most part, it only does 4 Outs via a single USB cable, and I we could totally get by with 4, but if I can get one that can do 8 in 8 out into the software, we'd be set for life.

So, from what you guys know would one of those work?

The hardware choices you made may work, but IMO don't deal with USB, bandwith is too limited. Buy firewire or PCI cards only. Your choice also is affected by the computer platform you plan to use (Mac or PC). Unfortunately, the more you $$$, the more options and flexibility you get. Stick with popular brands (M-Audio, Presonus, MOTU, Digidesign) and try to get balanced +4 or -10 gear if possible; quieter for long cable runs and easier to interface with a "real" studio if/when you have a need to do that. It's more $$$, but try and get a interface with at least 8 I/O if possible; only having 4 I/O's is too limiting.

For tracking drums, you don't HAVE to mic every drum. A stereo pair of cardiod mics over the kit in a X/Y configuration, along with kick and snare drum mics, might be all you need. Mic other drums as needed. Spend time placing the mics and you might end up with something that sounds good on playback. You might try the Glyn Johns mic technique as well: http://www.danalexanderaudio.com/glynjohns.htm
