sennheiser m211, and EV pl6, pl5 harvey?

Hi, I just found these in my local music store used.
What can you tell me about them?

the md211 goes for 130$ , the pl6 pl5 85$/piece
I need some good dynamics, and i heard that these were pretty good. The pl6 i supposedly the best kickdrum mic for some people.
And the md211 looks pretty cool atleast. How do they sound, anyone has some experience with them?

The MD-211 and PL-5 are omni dynamics. The PL-5 is essentially the same mic as the EV-635a (same design, different finish, different distribution network, shorter warranty, possibly but not necessarily less stringent quality control). I have one 635a and one PL-5 and use them as a pair all the time, no problems.

The PL-6 I don't know much about. I believe it's hypercardioid and is a Variable D mic, which means minimized proximity effect.

Can't say on the Sennheiser, but the EV's can be found used super cheap most of the time. Ebay isn't a home of stellar mic deals most of the time, but I got my PL-5 for $20 there.

I highly recomend the PL-5, and I've heard good things about the 211. I'd look around for a better price first, though.
