SE Electronics mics

Hi all
Has anyone used the SE Electronics mics? I'm sick of recording vocals using my Sm58 and need a condenser mic (and a preamp for that matter, but that's another thread for another time...). I was looking at the Rode NT2 (used it a couple of times and fell in love) but a friend has just told me about the SE Electronics condenser mics. They seem well within my price range (up to £250) but has anyone used them and, if so, what are they like? I'm slightly dissuaded by the fact I haven't heard of the brand (but then I'm no tech-head) and that they are so cheap. Can anyone recommend a particular model or perhaps suggest another brand?
Thanks in advance!

I have an SE Electronics 3500 and it's an ok radio type mic... but, for the most part the SE mic's have NOT gotten good reviews on this forum.
