Scratchy Input on Juno 106

I have a Juno-106 in my possession, It's got a scratchy input, I'd love to fix it for the owner.

Not all patches, but some (and I think more so for low frequencies) give off a buzz like a dirty input pot.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Anyone know a way of fixing this at home? Tricks Tips?

Or is taking it to a professional necessary?

If I'm understanding the question, the problem is with the output jack for the synth. You could try plugging and unplugging it a dozen times rapid fire on the theory that there's some schmutz (highly technical term) causing the problem and the act of plugging and unplugging might loosen it.

The act of plugging and unplugging quickly may also lead to the output going dead, at which point you'll know that it was a bad wire on the output jack and you can either open it and re-solder it yourself or get someone else to do it. Like a professional.

thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.

I'll give it a try soon and let you know the result.

Thanks again

I would be more inclind to spray some electronics cleaner in the female & on the male, rather than simply abuse the jack - but, that's just me.

that sounds a lot safer

...I'd hate to return it not working at all.

Is there a brand name for this electronics cleaner?
