I just got a Scarlett 2i4. I record with Sony Soundfore. I can record sound via the line in of Scarlett. Though, I can not record to soundforge from internal sources like DAW synth or any other internal Audio stream.
I wonder if such function is part of the 2i4 at all? Or does the desing allows only external sources to be recorded through line in?
I do have a Saffire Pro 24 DSP and have no issues recording internal and external synths all together into Soundforge. Thats what I expected to do with Scarlett likewise.
Also choosing ASIO driver in soundforge would result in bad sound quality recordings with Scarlett. Only the Microsoft driver would work withouth crackle noise...
Using w7 32bit quad core intel (latest Scarlett drivers jan 2013).
