I have a Roland TD5 kit, with a "kat bar" that has two pads/strips. One is used for crash, other for ride. It is ridiculously clumsy and I would prefer two cymbal stands (I have an extra pad and would purchase another).
My dilemna: anyone know of a thrifty way to make these stands? The Roland solution will cost me close to $100 for the stands alone. It seems to me that becasue the kit stand is simple tubing concept, there would be an easier DIY way.....
